About Us

Neighborhood Watch Is a Way to Build Community and Curb Crime

The Redding Gold Hills Neighborhood Watch group provides a core of community on your block. Getting to know the people on your block and their concerns while regularly meeting together helps build a true sense of community right where we live. It provides a brainstorming and action group for the issues on your block. When you meet together even a few times a year, it’s easier to exchange ideas or information and get comfortable talking with the people next door about block safety.

Preventing Harm & Loss

We all want our families to be free from harm and secure from danger. We want our homes and vehicles to be free from loss and damage. We want our neighborhood to be safe for our children. It is not the sole responsibility of law enforcement to keep us safe - all citizens are accountable for taking actions to prevent crime and increase awareness in order to enhance our own security and safety.

Community Strength and Government Contact

These two qualities — community strength and government contact are the primary value of the Gold Hills Neighborhood Watch group.  Residents with an intimate knowledge of their own blocks assemble and share concerns with one another and receive information from their own government and law enforcement representatives. This is a way to better the area where you live.
